Wang Jiasha

Wang"s Shaben Gang"s pastry making technique is a traditional handicraft in Jing"an District of Shanghai. Wangjiasha dim sum restaurant was founded in 1945 and has a history of more than 60 years. "Wangjiasha" was originally wangjiashe, but it was a place name. Because "Sha" is another word for "she", and "Sha" is homonymous with "she" in Shanghai dialect, and the homonym is borrowed to form wangjiasha. Wangjiashe is surrounded by Jing"an Temple Road (Nanjing West Road), Kade Road (Shimen No.2 Road), Tongfu Road (Shimen No.1 Road), aiwenyi Road (Beijing West Road), etc. nearby are the high-grade office and residential areas in Shanghai at that time, which is an excellent location for catering business. Considering the fame effect, Yao Zichu named the dim sum shop wangjiasha with homophony. Since then, the name of Wang Jiasha became more and more popular.
