More than two hundred years ago, Xuwen Goat had entered the Hong Kong and Guangzhou Bay markets, and Xu Wenfei sheep sang all over the country. Raising sheep became one of the most effective ways to increase rural income at the time. Before 1949, there was a street dedicated to goats in Xuwen County, called “Yangxing Street”.
