It can be seen that the history of the cultivation of Baoji pepper has long been integrated into the long river of historical development. In the late 1960s, Baoji pepper was planted in a large area in the city, and gradually formed into more than 40 townships and towns in 7 counties including Chencang District, Daishan County, Fengxiang County, Fufeng County, Meixian County, Jixian County and Qianyang County. Baoji pepper commodity production base and export trade base. Up to now, Baoji pepper has planted 2-2.5 million hectares per year, with a production capacity of 50,000-60,000 tons. The products are mainly sold to more than ten provinces and cities such as Hunan, Sichuan, Hubei and Qinghai. Due to its excellent quality, its price is higher than that on the local market. The price of other peppers is 200-300 yuan higher per ton. The export trade volume has accounted for the province's peppers. About 70% of the export trade, its products are well-known at home and abroad. In 2006, CCTV's seven sets of program groups made a special trip to Baobao to shoot the Baoji Peppers. Through the continuous broadcast of the four programs, it caused a sensation in the country. It received telephone consultations from 73 pepper distribution companies (businesses) from 18 provinces and cities. . In the peak year of Hunan Changsha alone, more than 1,000 pepper processing enterprises came to Baoji to acquire Baoji pepper, which enabled Baoji pepper to achieve leap-forward development, and its popularity was greatly improved. On January 7, 2001, Wen Jiabao, then vice premier of the State Council, inspected the Baoji City Chili Experts' Courtyard. After listening to the work report of experts and professors, he said happily: "Don't underestimate this place, this is our country's largest manufacturing industry. Pepper breeding, production base 哩!". To this end, Baoji pepper has made important contributions to Baoji's foreign trade earning, agricultural development and farmers' incomes from ancient times to today. The farmers proudly call the local peppers “Baoji Pepper” and continue to this day.

Baoji pepper quality technical requirements (a) variety. 8212, 8819, Shaanxi pepper 2001, Shaanxi Research 168. (2) Site conditions. The soil type is mainly loessial soil and cinnamon soil.
