Shanghai Cuisine

This cosy and understated dining room is adorned in neutral greys with teal green accents. The head chef is from Shanghai, and the mostly Shanghainese kitchen team shows an astute understanding of the cuisine by reinterpreting classics with a contemporary perspective. Braised winter melon looks simple, but delivers deep and lingering flavours. Stuffed field snails are also highly recommended. The chef’s table is available with minimum charge.

The three words "Wu Li Xiang" are derived from the pronunciation of "home" in the authentic Shanghai dialect. This word is full of warmth and memory for every Shanghainese. Zhu Haifeng, the founder and chef of the "Wulixiang" brand (it is said that Andy Lau"s private kitchen) has named the restaurant "Wulixiang", which means that you can enjoy the warmth of "going home for dinner". Following the tradition, with the spirit of ingenuity, we are determined to create authentic Benbang cuisine restaurant and bring the good taste of Shanghai old alley to Beijing. Every guest who comes to the dining room can have a warm and bright space in the fast rhythm of the busy city. A delicious meal will make you feel the healing and belonging of eating at home. There are traditional Shanghai dishes in the indoor dining room: Drunken Chicken, sweet and sour spareribs, spareribs rice cake, braised pork, scallion noodles, wine dumplings and so on. There are also "Kung Fu" dishes in Shanghai style dishes, and even some traditional Shanghai dishes that are on the verge of extinction.
