Qing Emperor Qianlong, contemporary Buddhist master Zhao Puchu, and calligraphy and painting have all inscriptions, praised Songhua Stone.

Technical requirements for quality of Songhua Stone (1) Mining and finishing. 1. Mining: (1) Hold the mining license of the relevant state department. (2) Destructive mining methods such as blasting are prohibited during mining. (3) When excavating, use original tools such as hoes, shovel, etc., and use water drills, wooden wedges and excavation equipment during large mining. 2. Finishing: (1) Processing and sandblasting of rough materials by qualified processing enterprises or individuals. (2) The original natural shape and color should be maintained during processing and finishing, and artificial processing such as carving, bonding or dyeing is prohibited. Producers within the scope of Songhua Stone's production area may submit an application to the Jilin Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision for the use of the “Special Mark for Geographical Indication Products”, which shall be reviewed by the Jilin Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision and reported to the AQSIQ for approval. The statutory testing agency for Songhua Stone is designated by the Jilin Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision.
