"Look at the red wet place, spend the heavy Jinguan city." - Du Fu's "Spring Night Rain". In the Han Dynasty, the brocade industry in Chengdu was developed and became an important source of tribute to the imperial court. The imperial court set up the management of Jinguan and built the “Jinguan City” in the southwest of the city. The later generations used Jinguan City as another name for Chengdu, referred to as “Jincheng”. Five stars out of the East and China, the Han Dynasty woven brocade armor, is a national first-class cultural relics, China's first batch of cultural relics prohibited from going abroad. Known as one of the greatest discoveries of Chinese archaeology in the 20th century.

Sichuan embroidery

Qiang embroidery, also known as "Chuan embroidery", is a general term for embroidery products centered around Chengdu, Sichuan. Together with Yu Jin, it is called "the treasure of the scorpion". Qiang embroidery is the same as Suzhou embroidery, Xiang embroidery and Yue embroidery. It is one of the four famous embroidery in China. The characteristics of Qiang embroidery are summarized as "strict and delicate needlework, elegant and delicate colors, beautiful and smooth lines, and the style of Chinese ink painting."
