Chaoyang Mung Bean is famous for its rich grain and superior quality. Its nutrients, taste and color are superior, and it is known as the “green pearl”.

Chaoyang Mung Bean Quality Technical Requirements I. Variety Liaolu 28, Big Budget Green 522 and other suitable mung bean varieties for local cultivation. Second, the site conditions The altitude of the production area is 300 to 1000 meters, the soil type is brown soil, cinnamon soil, and the thickness of the plough layer is ≥20cm. The soil organic matter content is ≥0.8%, and the pH is 7.2 to 8.4. Third, cultivation management 1. Land requirements: Do not repeat, rotate for more than 3 years. 2. Sowing: (1) Sowing time: sowing in mid-May. (2) Planting density: The number of seedlings kept is ≤200,000 plants/ha. 3. Fertilization: Based on organic fertilizer, the annual applied organic fertilizer is ≥ 20.0 cubic meters / hectare. 4. Harvest: When two-thirds of all pods turn dark brown, harvest in the morning when the dew is not dry or in the evening. 5. Fourth, processing mung bean raw grain → peeling → mechanical screening (mung bean after mechanical screening, impurities ≤ 0.5%. Pure grain rate ≥ 97%.) → manual selection → grade classification → quantitative → packaging → inspection → storage. 5. The moisture stored in the safe storage of mung beans should be controlled below 13.5%, and kept at room temperature for less than 12 months. Sixth, quality characteristics 1. Sensory characteristics: Mung bean is large and even, with full particles, green beans, bright color and no mottle. 2. Producers within the scope of Chaoyang Mung bean production area may apply to the Chaoyang County Market Supervision Administration of Liaoning Province for the use of the “Special Mark for Geographical Indication Products”, which shall be reviewed by the Liaoning Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision and reported to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine for approval. The inspection agency of Chaoyang Mungbe is selected by the Liaoning Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision in the inspection institutions that meet the qualification requirements.
